Subject: Distinguished Unit Award w/Merit
Congratulations to the Florida Air Academy Air Force Junior
ROTC Unit FL-032 for earning the Distinguished Unit Award with
Merit (earned an Exceeds Standards Rating on
their Unit Evaluation) for academic year 2006-2007.
The Distinguished Unit Award recognizes the personal growth
and accomplishments of the cadets, the contributions of the
instructors as mentors of the cadets, and the support of the
school and community. The Distinguished Unit Award is limited
to the best of the best of our nation’s
869 Air Force Junior ROTC units.
Please recognize the principal, AFJROTC instructors and cadets,
and pass along my congratulations on a job well done. We will
forward a streamer for the unit guide-on in the near future.
I appreciate your outstanding support in “Developing
citizens of character dedicated to serving the nation and your
communities.”
Sincerely
NORM BALCHUNAS, Colonel, USAF
Director, Air Force JROTC
[Note: FAA was the only AFJROTC in Brevard County and 1 of only 33
in the State of Florida to receive the DUA 'with merit' distinction.]
