ACADEMY ACADEMICS & PROGRAMS
Middle School Program

The Middle School Program at Florida Air Academy includes a widely developed and enriching environment. Sixth graders are self-contained within a one-teacher classroom structure, while seventh and eighth graders rotate through an eight period schedule with six core teachers and one elective period. During the day all students will be exposed to the core areas of science, social studies, mathematics, language arts, literature, English and character education. Field trips within these subjects occur on a regular basis.

Middle school elective programs include a wheel providing Spanish, computers, art and physical education each for a 9-week period, as well as providing students the option of participating in the FAA Drum and Bugle Corps. Athletic programs are also offered specifically for the middle school student including teams in both basketball and baseball. In addition, all middle school students are encouraged to participate in other junior varsity and varsity sports such as track, cross country, tennis and soccer.
