Our unique Space Coast location offers young men a
different kind of classroom. With Kennedy Space Center,
Patrick Air Force Base, and Melbourne International
Airport just minutes away from campus, students can
see and hear aviation come to life in the form of a
rocket launch and the unmistakable roar of an F-16.Florida
Air Academy is proud to offer these optional programs
which are suited to the aspirations of any young man.
Our Designed to meet the needs of the individual, our
programs teach not only the basics of aviation, but
responsibility and decision making skills as well.
Our aviation flight school programs are structured
not to interfere with the academic day. Experienced
Flight Instructors from the nearby Florida Institute
of Technology possess college degrees and are fully
licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration. A
Flight Coordinator employed by the Academy monitors
each student's progress, ensuring that the highest
quality and safety standards are maintained.
Training aircraft are minutes away at Melbourne International
Airport, which is a modern full-service facility. Over
30 single and twin engine aircraft are available for
training, including Piper Warriors, the complex retractable-gear
Arrow, and the multi-engine Seminole.
Eligibility
Students must
meet the following qualifications
to enroll in
one of the flight training programs:

- Submit written authorization
from parent or guardian to participate in flight
training

- Demonstrate maturity
and maintain satisfactory academic performance
|

- Read and speak English to the
satisfaction of the Program Director & Instructors
- Are medically and physically qualified
