GUIDANCE
Guidance counselors met with all our Seniors during their English classes this week and discussed the college application/admission process with them. Discussed were such things as testing requirements, college essays, letters of recommendation, the college visit process, service academy and ROTC scholarship opportunities, scholarship sources, NCAA Clearinghouse registration, and other pertinent topics. We strongly encourage parents to discuss college plans with their sons/daughters prior to contacting their college counselors.
As we near the end of the second week of classes, parents are reminded that the 2007-08 first of the school year progress report is rapidly approaching. Please encourage your son/daughter to see his/her teacher for after-school help Monday through Thursday between 3:25 and 4pm. Should your son or daughter need additional academic assistance, please contact your son's/daughter's guidance counselor to arrange additional tutoring.
