CHANGES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN RED BOLD.

Important Notice from the Infirmary:

All cadets are required to have a new physical each school year.  Please do this before they return.  Any cadet that does not have an updated physical will not be allowed to practice for interscholastic sports.  This includes:  swimming, football, soccer, basketball, volley ball or any sport in which we compete with another school.

Florida State Law mandates that all students be immunized before coming to school and that proof of immunization is supplied.

To all our students and Parents enjoy the rest of your summer and see you in a couple of weeks.  Any questions about the above or medical question you may have, you can reach Katherine Ruocco, R.N. by phone 321-723-3211, ext 30035 or druocco@flair.com  or Angela Holland at aholland@flair.com

Academics:

Florida Air Academy will have our annual "Summer Recognition Ceremony" on Friday, July 27th at 8:30 AM in the gymnasium. We will recognize outstanding cadets that have proven themselves either in the classroom or residential life. Some students will also be recognized for their achievements in flight and scuba training. The assembly will last approximately 30 minutes. Students will then spend two hours taking their final examinations. The official check out time for the end of summer session will start at noon. Parents and family are invited to the assembly to show support for those students who excelled in our summer program.

Do you still need to enroll for FAA’s Fall 2007-2008?  There will be an Admissions table set up in the Hall of Flags on Friday, JULY 27th directly after the Summer Awards Program.

GUIDANCE

With only two days of the 2007 Summer Session remaining, all our cadets are hard at work preparing for the final exams, which will be administered on Thursday and Friday for our Middle School students and on Friday for our Senior High students.  All teachers are in the process of reviewing exam material and each student has been strongly encouraged to see his/her teacher(s) for after-school assistance.

We wish all of our students the best of luck with the final exams.   (Note: Exams count 20% of the entire Summer's grade.)

We also congratulate our Summer students on an outstanding 2007 Summer Session and look forward to their return in the Fall.   All returning high school students have been encouraged to visit the Guidance Office and select their courses for next year.  All returning Middle School students are "block scheduled" and will take classes in English, Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Study Skills/Character Development, and the Creative Wheel classes.

Please note: Final grades/report cards will be available on Monday, July 30th, as soon as all final exams have been graded and all 2007 Summer Session grades have been entered into the Summer Session database for final report card printing.
