GUIDANCE
As the 2007 Summer Session rapidly
winds down (less than 2 weeks), many of our students have experienced great
success in a number of areas such as academics, flight training, SCUBA, and
Driver's Education just to mention a few. Adjustment to the rapid pace of
academic instruction and the FAA Summer environment was quick and effortless by
a vast majority of our student and after more than 4 weeks of the FAA Summer
Session, everyone is well versed in the high expectations which are placed on
all of our students. We look forward with eager anticipation to the final 2
weeks of the Summer Session and the end-of-the-Summer awards assembly. We also
wish everyone the best of luck with the final exams next week and remind our
students to pay close attention to the pre-exam reviews which will be given by
each of our teachers in each class next week. (Note: Exams count 20% of
the entire summer’s grade)
Academic Assistance Program:
The final 2 weeks of the Academic
Assistance Program began this past Monday, July 16th, with the printing and
mailing of the final interim progress report. Students in high school courses
earning a D or an F or middle school students earning an F or 2 D's or worse,
have been assigned to our Academic Assistance program. This program continues
to involve:
1. Required after-school teacher
help
2. Mandatory attendance at both
weekend study halls
3. Allowance reduction to $5.00
4. Closely supervised evening study

This Academic Assistance program
