ADMISSIONS:

Next Open House is Sunday, July 8 at 12:00 noon.  We will be located in Rooms 44-45.   If you have any friends or relatives with children who might be a good addition to the cadet corps of FAA, please invite them to this!  Enroll now for the fall as space is limited and going fast.

STUDENT REFERRALS

As alumni, parents and cadets know, FAA is the best choice for a high school education. If you refer a student to us and your potential cadet enrolls in the Academy and completes one semester, you are eligible to earn a gift card from Best Buy. Visit our website at www.flair.com and click on 'Refer a cadet' on the home page. The web site is simple and easy to navigate. Make a difference in a young person’s life!

Field Trip:

This week’s field trip will be on Friday, July 6:  ESOL and grade 6 will visit the Liberty Museum.

GUIDANCE

A large number of our students have raised their grades significantly over the past 3 weeks.  The small classes, after-school teacher help, supervised study halls, and of course, the consistent efforts of our students have resulted in a most productive first half of the 2007 Summer Session.  We look for that trend to continue over the final 3 weeks!

Academic Assistance Program:

High school students with a D or F or middle school students with an F or 2 Ds, have been assigned to our Academic Assistance program.  This program involves:

1.  Required after-school teacher help

2.  Mandatory attendance at both weekend study halls

3.  Allowance reduction to $5.00

4.  Closely supervised evening study halls in a classroom with tutors available

This Academic Assistance program will continue for each participant for at least a week and until all grades have been improved to at least a "C" average.
