GUIDANCE
A large number of our students have raised their grades significantly
over the past 3 weeks. The small classes, after-school teacher help, supervised
study halls, and of course, the consistent efforts of our students have
resulted in a most productive first half of the 2007 Summer Session. We
look for that trend to continue over the final 3 weeks!
Academic Assistance Program:
High school students with a D or F or middle school students with an F
or 2 Ds, have been assigned to our Academic
Assistance program. This program involves:
1. Required after-school teacher help
2. Mandatory attendance at both weekend study
halls
3. Allowance reduction to $5.00
4. Closely supervised evening study halls
in a classroom with tutors available
This Academic Assistance program will continue for each participant
for at least a week and until all grades have been improved to at least a
"C" average.
