Florida Air Academy - A Few Facts about Us!

We are a private school with day and boarding options for young men and women grades 6-12 and Postgraduate.  FAA is a non-sectarian school.  Our emphasis is college-preparatory.  We are affiliated wtih AFJROTC.

We are fully accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Florida Council of Independent Schools.

We are one of Florida's largest boarding schools with over 100 day and 200 boarding students, representing over 20 states and 25 countries.

Our teachers are state-certified instructors, with many holding a Master's Degree or higher.

The student/faculty ratio is approximately 10 to 1.   Most classes average between 8 to 17 students.

We have had a 100% College and University acceptance rate since 1978.

Our summer session offers a full academic curriculum for grades 6-12 and post-graduate. Flight training, English as a Second Language, Drivers' Education, Karate, scuba, surfing, skate boarding, SAT Prep and computer instruction are also available.

Our location on the coast of East Central Florida is one of our strengths:  close to beaches, rivers, Orlando and its attractions, Kennedy Space Center, and situated in the vibrant small city of Melbourne close to shopping, movies and theatre.  Our climate is warm and sunny.

Our beautiful campus is in the Spanish Mediterranean style of architecture.  We have the largest collection of historic buildings in Brevard County.
