Tutoring
The FAA tutoring program is designed to meet the needs of those students who require strengthening of their academic foundations or who need additional assistance with their current coursework.
At an additional cost, the sessions are taught by qualified instructors, and the program consists of several different options for instruction.
Students enrolled in this program will meet with their tutors from one to four times per week based on their individual needs. Tutoring is available to students in all grades and supplements the free after-school teacher help program. (There is no cost for the after-school teacher help program.) Some students may be required to attend tutoring if they are performing below grade level.
The specific tutoring programs available are:
Daytime Tutoring:
• Tutoring sessions are provided during the regular school day.
• Students are removed from elective classes one to four times weekly.
• Sessions are individualized and designed to meet the student’s current academic needs.
• Maximum class size: No more than three individuals per class
After school Tutoring:
• Sessions are held from 4:00-4:45pm after the end of the regular school day.
• Students are assigned an individual tutor based on subject matter.
• Tutoring assistance is designed around subject areas.
• Maximum class size: No more than three individuals per class
One-on-one Tutoring:
• One-on-one tutoring sessions are also available in either daytime or after school
• All one-on-one tutoring is offered at an additional fee to other tutoring services
