From class of '82 Craig Wright:

JUST noticed your Alumni page.

And a SPECIAL hello to the following Alumni listed that I have good thoughts about each and every year (it doesn't get old, just fond, once in a lifetime memories of High School):

Robert Morris
Preston Perrenot
Ian Russell
Carlos Sasso
Mark Walters

Anyway, just glad to find your page. I've missed Melbourne, and FAA will always be a proud part of my upbringing, maturity, and commitment to the possible.

A special thanks to F.A.A. and the Administration for their warmth in
welcoming your Alumni Association to help in celebrating the School's
50th Anniversary.  I am happy to report that we had over 120 alums
from as far as Germany (Max Reichle 1983), Spain (Larry Jones 1967),
Venezuela, Panama, Puerto Rico, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania among
other States.  We all had a fantastic time and met alumni from as
early as 1964 (Don Wolfe).

As the re-elected Alumni President, I am very proud to have
participated in bringing our group to the Academy for the celebration
of the Academy's 50th Anniversary & events, dinner & Luau Activities.
We have a very good group of alums amongst the ranks who come
together and rejoin and rejuvenate ourselves every time we visit and
we thank you, Florida Air Academy, in supporting our Alumni
Association.

I want to take a moment to specially thanks alums who contributed to
the F.A.A.A.A. in making the 50th Anniversary & Reunion a success:
Mark Ratcliffe 83'  for donating a three night stay package to his
resort in Nassau, Bahamas at http://www.astonesthrowaway.com/  and a
special congratulations to Malcolm Garner 1981 for winning the Grand
Prize.

Also, a special thanks to the J.R.O.T.C  for putting together the
great half-time show and allowing the Alumni to challenge the Cadets
in a friendly Drill Competition.  A special thanks to Lt Col Ralph
Gracia for his dedication to educate and instruct the students in
marching discipline.

Also a special thanks to our 1983 Wing Commander-Russell Gagliano's
Polynesian Proud Productions, Inc. for their amazing Luau Show, to
Laszlo Jon Horanyi, Wing Commander 1978 and his wife Fran for the
excellent work decorating the Dining Hall to resemble a Hawaiian /
Samoan Party Palace.  Our Wing Commander, Donald E. Bronkie 1980, for
Coordination and Logistics and Activity Hosting. And finally to my
Vice President, Scott Vickers 1980,  for also organizing, hosting and
supporting and promoting our 50th Celebration.  There
are many others I wish to thank but I know space is very limited.

I have included some photos for posting purposes with this
congratulatory message on the Alumni Web Page of FAA.

I hope to see new faces next year, so all of you young alums, please
do not hesitate to join our Facebook Page

Hi! Here is a photo from a recent get together here in Las Vegas! Scott Vickers, Don Bronkie, Brad Larsen, and Robin Anmolsingh came to visit in Las Vegas!  We had dinner at the Golden Gate Casino and talked about old times!  We had the photos taken at The Palozzo Hotel and on Fremont St. in DowntownLas Vegas with a Gene Simmons Impersonator. It was really great seeing the guys after 32 years!!!!!

We are always happy to hear from you, and to have you visit. Please register in the Hall of Flags if you come to campus.  Recently we were honored to have Jim Kittredge class of 1964 come back to visit the campus.  Here is what he wrote to us after his visit:

"Sally and I would like to extend our gratitude for the warm and gracious greeting. ....Cadet Brock was not only courteous, he should be commended for exhibiting a vast understanding of Academy history and tradition, coupled with its ideas and ideals for the future.  It was a great experience to step back in time yet stand there and see the future through the eyes of your cadets.  I am proud to be an alumnus and looking forward to visiting again."
